Our Director, Phil Jones was contacted to discuss a gap analysis on one of today’s largest international Solar energy providers. After meeting the Client in their London office, a plan was drawn up with the current health and safety manager. Undertaking a gap analysis, he identified both strengths and weaknesses and a report was provided for consideration. The Client was so impressed that they retained his service for 51 weeks, over which time, two health and safety managers came and left the business and Phil was tasked with the interim Global Health and Safety Managers post until a replacement was sourced.
Pearl Safety’s learning form this work was invaluable, as the Solar sector was in its infancy regarding health and safety. We continue to build on recent developments in PV and Solar and are members of Solar Energy UK (formally Solar Trade Association) and we are joint authors of the best practice guidelines for safe working in roof mount Solar.
